ABB 1SFA897110R7000 PSE Soft Starter is a high-performance 600V AC, 75 kW, 3 Phase motor starter with IP20 and IP00 ratings, featuring a screw mounting system. It is engineered for industrial automation applications including pumping, compressors, and fans.

The starter’s innovative torque control significantly reduces water hammering issues common in pump start-ups, providing extended equipment protection and operational stability. Designed for reliable performance, it operates across a wide supply voltage range of 208 to 600 VAC and control voltage of 100 to 250 V at 50/60 Hz.

Additional features include a built-in bypass which saves energy and reduces installation complexity, along with an intuitive human-machine interface (HMI) comprising an illuminated display and a four-button keypad for easy programming and monitoring.

The device incorporates motor overload protection with selectable classes (10A, 10, 20, 30), underload detection to prevent dry running in pumps, locked rotor protection to identify jammed pumps, and a kick start function to overcome starting difficulties in jammed motors or conveyor belts. It employs sophisticated algorithms to eliminate DC components for smooth start performance.
