Digital Converter(AC Operated) - CSCAN RPT485, digital converters are one of the most widely used products in the Industry. These converters are used for converting RS485 to RS232 and vice versa. It provides optical isolation between two ports thus protecting devices connected on both sides. Typically RS485 can be used for a cable distance of up to 1.2 km. If the signal has to be further carried then repeaters can be used. Converters are normally used for interfacing of serial communication between SCADA / DCS and field devices like PLC, controllers, smart transmitters, etc.
