Microchip ADM01014 Power Management Development Kit MCP1663 3.3V 300mA SEPIC DDPAK Mini-Module is an evaluation board designed for assessing the MCP1663 SEPIC converter performance.
Its output voltage is preset to 3.3V, delivering a stable 300 mA output current suitable for low-voltage power supply applications. The module operates from a wide input voltage range of 1.85V to 5.5V after start-up, with under-voltage lockout ensuring protection against low input voltage scenarios.
This development kit features a high switching frequency of 500 kHz which allows for efficient power conversion with a small overall footprint, enabled by the DDPAK miniature package (13 mm by 9.5 mm).
Additional integrated protections include soft start, internal compensation circuits, and over temperature shutdown triggered at temperatures exceeding +150°C with 15°C hysteresis to protect the device.
The EN pin is brought out for easy control by a microcontroller or other external logic devices, enabling system-level management of power delivery.
Commonly used in power management, motor control, robotics, and embedded systems development, this evaluation board aids designers in quick prototyping and performance verification of DC/DC SEPIC converter circuits.
Enables thorough evaluation and demonstration of the MCP1663 SEPIC Converter's functionality. Small form factor allows integration into space-constrained applications and test setups. Robust protection features enhance reliability in industrial and laboratory environments.
Designed for use by engineers and developers working on power supply design and embedded electronics. Supports development in applications requiring regulated 3.3V power with currents up to 300 mA.
