Product Description
Hammond 1598CGY Grey Flame Retardant ABS Instrument Case is a desktop electronic enclosure designed for mounting printed circuit boards (PCBs) with dimensions of 52 mm height, 180 mm length, and 155 mm width.
The enclosure is moulded in flame retardant ABS plastic complying with UL94V-0 flammability rating, providing excellent fire safety performance. It meets the IP54 standard for protection against dust ingress and splashing water, ensuring reliability in industrial and laboratory environments.
Two sets of vertical 1.5 mm PCB guides are moulded into each half of the case, both front and rear, facilitating secure and precise PCB placement. Additionally, integral horizontal PC card mounts on Eurocard centres enable flexible board configurations.
The design features positive fit tongue and groove construction for easy assembly and repetitive disassembly, aided by brass bushings to maintain structural integrity over time. Recessed front and rear end panels are finished in brushed aluminium for a professional appearance suitable for commercial or industrial applications.
This non-ventilated instrument case is lightweight at 321 g and does not include a carrying handle, making it ideal for stationary desktop use in electronics manufacturing, testing, automation systems, and related applications.
