RS PRO 438-6421 Black Nylon Rod is a premium engineering material designed for demanding industrial and mechanical applications. With precise dimensions of 500 mm length and 130 mm diameter, this rod is made from Cast Nylon 6 modified by the addition of Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2), which imparts excellent self-lubricating properties and low friction performance. Its black coloration and density of 1.15 g/cm³ contribute to robustness and durability.

The material offers a tensile strength of 75 MPa, making it suitable for high mechanical load conditions. It can withstand maximum operating temperatures up to 170°C, which allows for use in environments requiring thermal resistance. The rod’s flammability is rated UL94 HB, indicating compliance with safety norms for industrial materials.

With a hardness rating of 145 Ball Indentation, the Nylon Rod resists abrasive wear effectively. It features an elongation of 60% providing flexibility and impact resistance, while water absorption is controlled at 6%, preserving material stability in moist environments.
