Mix Bed Demineralisers Ionex MB ( IMB-I ), units are single column portable demineralisers producingdemineralised water, complying I.P. Specifications comprise of FRP/MSRLpressure vessel mounted on frame work containing bed of mixed resins,assembly of multiport valve & control panel with conductivity meter.Ionex MB units have to be regenerated on the basis of increase in conductivityof treated water qualityOperations: Raw water passes through cationexchanger where all cations are replacedby H+ ion & Water becomes decationisedresulting in a solution of weak and strongacids In the next anion exchanger, weak and strongacids are removed. When the capacities of exchangers areexhausted the resin is regenerated as thecation exchanger with acid and the anionexchanger with sodium hydroxide. The service, regeneration, fast/slow rinse& backwash operation is carried outthrough a nest of valves or one singlecontrol Multiport Valve
