The device features a high contrast dot-matrix LCD display with three face buttons, providing real-time trend analysis, data summaries, and user control functions such as start, stop, and restart without the need for a PC connection. The logger includes user-programmable audible alarms and LED indicators for confidence and alarm status, ensuring immediate notification of environmental excursions.

Operational within a broad temperature range from -35°C to 80°C, the EL-GFX-D2 is powered by AA batteries that provide approximately 4 months of operation under typical usage, with the option to draw power from USB.
