Seeed Studio CAT1 LTE CAT1 Pi HAT Cellular Communications Add On Board for Raspberry Pi CAT1 supports LTE Category 1 networks, designed to provide cellular connectivity to Raspberry Pi boards starting from 1 Model B+ and later versions. It uses the u-blox LARA-R2xx series cellular modem, making it suitable for fast prototyping of IoT and telecommunication projects.

This HAT supports dual communication interfaces including UART and USB. UART communication is managed through AT commands, requiring no special drivers, enabling ease of integration with Raspberry Pi's native interface. USB communication is also supported, enabling flexible connectivity options.

The LTE CAT1 Pi HAT supports 2G fallback in the EU version, ensuring continued connectivity where LTE coverage may be sparse. The cellular module embeds common protocols such as TCP/UDP stacks and supports HTTP, FTP, and SSL, allowing robust data transmission for various applications.
