Bopla IP40 handheld enclosure model IP40 from the BOS-Streamline Series is made of robust grey ABS plastic designed for industrial and mobile data applications. This ergonomic enclosure features an integral battery compartment and precise external dimensions of 159.4 mm length, 77.9 mm width, and 33.5 mm height, providing a compact and portable solution.

The enclosure design allows the two half shells to be positioned either flat or inclined by turning them, facilitating flexible assembly between parallel or console configurations. Its symmetrical design enables its use horizontally or vertically depending on application requirements.

The front surface includes smooth areas that can accommodate different interface connectors, such as sub-D types, making it adaptable for various electronic devices. Optional decorative seals provide anti-knock protection and are available in multiple colors including yellow, red, blue, green, and graphite grey manufactured from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). When combined with a sealing cord ensuring battery compartment closure, these seals upgrade the enclosure protection to IP65.

Screw covers to conceal fastening screws are available separately in light grey or graphite grey, enhancing the enclosure's aesthetic and safety. There are two main variants: the DIS variant features an ergonomic design with a display screen area and membrane keypad area, where the display screen can be positioned and sealed using supplied adhesive film; the F variant offers a continuous membrane keypad area for seamless operation.
