RS PRO RSF100 Series vertical external float switch is designed with high-quality polypropylene housing and a nitrile rubber (NBR) gasket providing excellent chemical and mechanical resistance. The float switch features a compact design with a small diameter float and includes a 1 m PVC cable for ease of installation.

Designed for industrial automation and control gear applications, this float switch supports normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) output contacts, allowing versatile control schemes. It operates reliably within temperature ranges of -20°C to 100°C and supports maximum switching voltages of 240 V AC and 120 V DC, with a current capacity of 600mA, suitable for various industrial fluids.

Mounting is executed externally via a compression seal at the top or bottom of a tank, which avoids the need for tank interior access and facilitates maintenance. Its robust construction makes it ideal for monitoring fluid levels in diesel generators, hydraulic systems, and gearbox oil reservoirs.

The switching action can be reversed by removing, inverting, and refitting the float to the stem, providing configurability to application needs. The leadout cable is a 100cm PVC 2-core with 7/0.2 mm conductors for durable connectivity.
