RS PRO 180-5952 Tri-Rated Hook Up Wire features an orange heat-resistant polyvinyl chloride (HR PVC) insulation and flexible copper conductor strands designed for high-performance electrical wiring applications. This 16 AWG wire is constructed with 30 copper strands of 0.25 mm each, providing excellent conductivity and durability for use in power switchgear, control panels, metering, relay, and instrument panels.
Engineered for alternating voltages not exceeding 600 V to earth and direct voltages up to 1000 V to earth, this cable withstands maximum operating temperatures of 105°C. It also remains oil resistant at temperatures up to 60°C and is flame retardant, complying with the BS6231 standard. The orange tri-rated insulation allows broad use, complying with wiring regulations from both North America and Europe.
This hook up wire is ideal for wiring internal rectifier equipment, motor starters, and controllers.
