Manufactured from high-quality, flexible polyolefin, this heat shrink tubing is certified halogen free, making it ideal for environments requiring reduced toxic gas emissions in the event of fire. Its transparency allows for easy inspection and retention of cable identification, even after installation.

This tubing has a 2.4mm maximum sleeve diameter in its unshrunk state and will shrink down to 1.2mm, with an ample length of 1.2 meters per unit. The 2:1 shrink ratio ensures a snug, long-lasting seal over a wide range of wire and terminal sizes. When heat is applied, the tubing rapidly shrinks to form a secure, protective covering which helps to insulate, bundle, and protect wires from abrasion, chemicals, moisture, and mechanical stress.

Polyolefin material provides outstanding flexibility and durability, maintaining performance in temperatures from minus 55°C to 135°C, and requiring a minimum shrink temperature of 110°C. This tubing is particularly useful where inspection post-installation is critical, for example, when clear identification of wire markings or color codes is needed. Its resistance to fluids, solvents, and abrasion further extends its versatility and lifespan in complex wiring environments.

To apply, cut the tubing to the necessary length, position it over the item or wire to be insulated, and apply heat evenly using a suitable heat gun until the tubing has shrunk to its final form, tightly conforming to the underlying component.
