What is the service: Assessment of environmental impacts of a product throughout its life cycle.

Scope of service: We conduct full ISO 14040/44 compliant LCAs. We model your product's environmental impacts from raw material extraction, manufacturing, distribution, use, to end-of-life disposal/recycling. Using specialized software (like SimaPro or GaBi), we quantify impacts on climate change, water use, eutrophication, etc. The LCA identifies hotspots for eco-design and supports environmental product declarations (EPDs).

Process flow: Goal and scope definition (functional unit, system boundaries) → Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) - detailed data collection for all inputs and outputs → Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) - translating inventory data into environmental impact scores → Interpretation of results, identifying significant impacts and hotspots → Preparation of the LCA report, and optionally, an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
