GHG Inventory – Scope 3

What is the service: Calculation of other indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 3).

Who needs it: Organizations measuring full carbon footprint.

Scope of service: We tackle the complex Scope 3 emissions, covering 15 categories from upstream (purchased goods/services, business travel) to downstream (use of sold products, end-of-life treatment). We use a combination of spend-based, average-data, and supplier-specific methods to estimate these emissions, which often represent the largest portion of a company's carbon footprint.

Process flow: Screening assessment to identify relevant Scope 3 categories → Prioritization of significant categories for detailed calculation → Data collection (spend data, travel logs, waste data, etc.) → Selection of calculation methodologies (e.g., Environmentally Extended Input-Output analysis for spend-based) → Calculation of emissions for each relevant category → Compilation of the comprehensive Scope 3 inventory.
