Workplace Air Quality Monitoring

Workplace Air Quality Monitoring measures indoor air conditions in industrial and commercial spaces. It includes testing of PM, VOCs, CO, and other pollutants. The monitoring is guided by the Factories Act, 1948 and standards under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, along with guidelines from the Central Pollution Control Board and occupational safety norms. It supports compliance with workplace safety regulations and audit requirements. The results help improves air quality, protect worker health, and ensure sustainable operations.

Scope of service: We assess worker exposure to airborne contaminants (dust, vapors, gases, fumes) as per OSHA/ACGIH/Indian Factory Act guidelines. Using personal sampling pumps worn by workers and area sampling, we collect air samples which are analyzed to determine Time-Weighted Average (TWA) concentrations and compare them with Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs).

Process flow: Identification of critical job roles and airborne hazards → Calibration and deployment of personal sampling pumps with appropriate media (filters, tubes) → Collection of full-shift personal breathing zone samples → Laboratory analysis of collected samples → Calculation of 8-hour TWA exposures → Preparation of an occupational exposure assessment report with recommendations for control measures if limits are exceeded.
