Product Description

The Hanna HI5148B Silver Billet Titration Electrode is designed for precise potentiometric titration of halides such as chloride, bromide, and iodide, using excess silver detection in precipitation reactions. Featuring a silver billet tip, this combination electrode generates a stable millivolt (mV) potential, enabling accurate and reliable endpoint determination during silver nitrate titrations.

Equipped with a Clogging Prevention System (CPS™), the electrode includes a ground glass junction and a movable polyethylene sleeve that can be adjusted to clean the surface and prevent clogging. This makes it especially effective for samples with high solids content, such as those found in food, wastewater, concrete, and brine analysis.

The electrode features a refillable double junction Ag/AgCl reference system, allowing flexibility in selecting fill solutions like 3.5M KCl based on application needs. Its durable glass body (12 mm outer diameter) is chemically resistant and fitted with a 1 m coaxial cable and standard BNC connector, ensuring compatibility with most laboratory titrators and meters.
