Hanna HI97742 Portable Photometer is a high-precision analytical instrument engineered for accurate determination of low range iron and manganese concentrations in water. Utilizing advanced optical technology with a reference detector and narrow band interference filters, this device ensures fast, stable, and highly repeatable results, making it ideal for laboratory, industrial, environmental, and water treatment applications.

The photometer measures iron from 0.00 to 1.60 mg/L (as Fe) and manganese from 0 to 300 µg/L (as Mn), supporting comprehensive water quality analysis. It employs an adaptation of the TPTZ method for iron and the PAN method for manganese, ensuring standardized and reliable measurement procedures.

With a resolution of 0.01 mg/L for iron and 1 µg/L for manganese, and accuracy of ±0.01 mg/L ±8% (Fe) and ±10 µg/L ±3% (Mn), the HI97742 delivers dependable analytical performance. The high-contrast backlit display ensures clear visibility in all lighting conditions, while the built-in data logging function stores up to 50 measurements for traceability and GLP compliance.
