Hammond 1550WNBK from the 1550 Series is a black and natural aluminium enclosure designed to provide durable protection and reliable shielding for electronic and electrical equipment. The enclosure features a rugged die cast aluminium alloy body, which is both tough and easy to machine, making it ideal for industrial, laboratory, and commercial applications requiring secure equipment housing.

The enclosure has an IP66 ingress protection rating, ensuring excellent resistance against dust and powerful water jets. It also achieves an IK08 impact rating, providing strong protection against mechanical impact. The lap joint construction enhances defense against dust entry and water splashing, contributing to the enclosure's watertight integrity when combined with the supplied silicone and ethyl vinyl acetate gaskets.
