Product Description
STMicroelectronics STP08CP05XTTR is a monolithic 8-bit shift register display driver designed for LED panel display applications. It features low voltage and low current operation with constant current output capabilities between 5 mA and 100 mA, adjustable through an external resistor. The device operates with a power supply down to 3 V and supports up to 20V output voltage, enabling connection of multiple LEDs in series.
The driver contains an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register feeding an 8-bit D-type storage register. The output stage includes eight regulated current sources with an output current setup time of approximately 11 ns, enhancing system performance.
Dimming functions enable LED brightness control from 0% to 100% via the OE pin, offering high flexibility for display intensity management. The STP08CP05XTTR supports a clock frequency of 30 MHz, suitable for high volume data transmission requirements in industrial, commercial, and consumer electronic displays.
