Product Description
Hammond 1455B1002 is a durable aluminium enclosure measuring 19 mm height, 101 mm length, and 72 mm width with a distinctive silver body and black lid, designed specifically to house printed circuit boards (PCBs) and interface equipment. This enclosure offers IP54 protection rating, making it resistant to dust ingress and splashing water, ideal for industrial and laboratory indoor environments.
The enclosure body is made from extruded aluminium with a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm, ensuring mechanical strength and ruggedness. The enclosure is completed by two black solid ABS plastic end panels featuring an integral bezel for a secure and aesthetic finish. PCBs can be mounted horizontally by sliding them into the internal slots extruded in the aluminium body, facilitating easy installation and removal.
A slide removable belly plate is included to provide quick access to internal components, except on smaller sizes (A, B, C, and D). The smaller sizes are ergonomically rounded to improve handheld comfort. The enclosure includes six screws to secure the end panels and self-adhesive rubber feet to prevent slipping and surface damage.
While the enclosure is not suitable for outdoor use, it is well-suited for applications in industrial automation systems, electrical enclosures in commercial electronics, laboratory devices, and general-purpose equipment housings. Optional DIN rail clips and flange kits are available separately, enhancing the mounting flexibility of the enclosure.
