Product Description
RS PRO IP66 Silver Silver Lid Die Cast Aluminium Enclosure with model IP66 is engineered from ADC12 die cast aluminium alloy, delivering excellent mechanical strength and shielding properties for industrial electrical and electronic component protection. The enclosure measures 65.5 mm in height, 275 mm in length, and 175 mm in width, making it suitable for a variety of installation requirements.
The natural silver finish is uncoated, allowing for optional powder coating if desired. The enclosure offers exceptional EMI/RFI shielding with lipped lids that ensure over 40dB attenuation at 10MHz and 76dB at 100 kHz frequencies, shielding sensitive electronics from interference.
This IP66 rated enclosure provides robust dust and moisture ingress protection using a self-adhesive neoprene seal rated for temperatures from -20°C to +80°C. The 3 mm thick lid incorporates a 1.5° taper on each side for tight fitting, secured using M3.5 x 9 mm supadrive countersunk stainless steel screws with a recommended tightening torque of 5.6 kg.
Inside, PCB mounting guides and vertical mounting guides facilitate easy and secure assembly of electronic components. The enclosure can withstand temperatures up to 250°C without any adverse effects on the aluminium or enclosure structure, making it reliable for high-temperature industrial environments.
