Philips Lighting Clear Tubular Sodium Lamp 230V 400W Ges/E40 2000K 48 mm 400SONTPLUS

Philips Lighting 400SONTPLUS Clear Tubular Sodium Lamp is a high-performance 230V, 400W discharge lamp featuring a Ges/E40 base and a tubular clear glass envelope measuring 283 mm in length and 48 mm in diameter. This lamp operates at a colour temperature of 2000K, producing a warm golden-white light suitable for industrial and commercial floodlighting applications requiring precise optical control.

The lamp offers very good efficiency with a luminous efficacy of 137 Lm/W. Its design includes a twin arc technology that significantly extends lamp life while enabling hot re-strike capability after power failures, ensuring reliable and continuous operation with less than 60 seconds strike time when hot.

SON-T Plus technology incorporated in this lamp yields 20% greater lumen output and longer lamp life compared to standard SON-T lamps. These features make the 400SONTPLUS model ideal for uses in industrial lighting, street lighting, and other demanding environments where performance and longevity are critical.

SON lamps generally emit a golden-white light with improved colour appearance and rendering over low pressure Sodium Lamps, making them suitable for various lighting applications. The clear tubular outer envelope of the SON-T lamp allows for precise light control, making it well-suited to floodlighting and other focused lighting applications.

The lamp requires a choke and ignitor for strike up, offering reliable ignition typically within 60 seconds when hot and a run-up time of up to 6 minutes when cold. The durable construction and efficient light output support use in commercial, industrial, agricultural, and outdoor lighting setups.

Features a Ges/E40 lamp base suitable for compatible fixtures. Tubular lamp shape with clear finish ensures optimal light distribution. Operates at a colour temperature of 2000K emitting a warm golden-white light. Length of 283 mm and diameter of 48 mm for standard fitting dimensions.

High luminous efficacy of 137 lumens per watt for energy-efficient lighting. Offers 20% greater lumen output and longer lamp life compared to standard models. Twin arc technology enables hot re-strike after power failures for reliable operation.
