Peak Instruments BT-4000D Benchtop Turbidity Meter is a device used to measure the color of drinking water samples. It is a laboratory instrument that is commonly used in water quality testing to determine the concentration of certain contaminants that affect the color of the water, such as iron, manganese, and organic matter. The colorimeter works by passing a beam of light through a sample of water and measuring the amount of light that is absorbed by the water. The amount of light absorbed is proportional to the concentration of the contaminant in the water
