Product Description
RS PRO 185-3017 Type RTD Resistance Thermometer Detector Wire is a high-quality extension cable designed for Platinum Resistance Thermometer (RTD) configurations. Designed with Perfluoroalkoxy Alkane (PFA) insulation and a silicone rubber outer jacket, it ensures excellent flexibility, waterproof protection, and heat resistance up to 260°C.
This unscreened 5 metre cable contains 7 core strands measuring 0.2mm each, constructed from tin plated copper to ensure reliable electrical conductivity. The cores are twisted and colour-coded with 2 red and 2 white wires, enabling easy identification and compatibility with various RTD setups including 2, 3, or 4 wire systems. Additionally, the cable is compliant with IEC 751 standards.
The PFA Teflon® insulation offers superb electrical and mechanical properties while protecting the conductors from oils, acids, and other adverse fluids. The outer silicone rubber jacket adds mechanical strength and durability, making the wire suitable for demanding industrial, laboratory, HVAC, manufacturing, and commercial applications.
