Deltron 483-C020 is a premium flanged enclosure from the 483 Series, manufactured using die cast aluminium with a silver lid. It is designed to provide superior protection with IP66, IP67, and IP68 ratings, suitable for demanding environments. The enclosure measures 30.5 mm in height, 139.7 mm in length, and 63.6 mm in width, making it compact yet sturdy for various industrial and commercial uses.
The robust die cast aluminium body ensures durability, while the silver lid enhances corrosion resistance. The enclosure is flanged for improved mounting capabilities and secured with stainless steel M3.5 x 12 screws for a tight, reliable seal. The lid is equipped with seal location lugs which aid in accurate fitment and ensure the integrity of the hard neoprene rubber seal that has a minimum thickness of 3.0 mm and a frame width of at least 4.0 mm.
This enclosure meets the BS EN60529 standard from 1992, providing the highest level of ingress protection defined by the IEC 60529 standard - IP68. It is capable of withstanding water immersion up to a depth of 5 metres for one hour, making it ideal for use in harsh conditions such as marine environments, food preparation industries, transportation sectors, industrial applications, and leisure equipment protection.
Additional features include PCB mounting guides available on selected models to ease assembly and installation while maintaining enclosure integrity and shielding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for the shielded versions that include a carbon loaded silicone seal.
