MK Electric 13A White 2 Gang Plug Socket Indoor USB Type G British K2744WHI

MK Electric K2744WHI is a 13A, white, 2 gang plug socket designed for indoor use, integrating USB Type G British standard sockets for versatile charging functionality. It is engineered for both flush and surface mounting, supporting robust commercial, residential, light industrial, and commercial applications.

This plug socket features dual switched gangs rated at 13A and 240V, with built-in dual USB outlets capable of dynamically recognising devices using USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 protocols to provide a steady 2A charging current. When load exceeds 2A, an internal safety mechanism limits current to prevent overloads or short circuits.

Constructed with high grade thermoset material and finished in high gloss white, the socket offers durability and aesthetical appeal. The device has a neon indicator for power status and incorporates a totally safe 3 pin operated safety shutter, double pole switching standard, and a 3mm minimum switch contact gap.

Additional safety is provided by the neutral make-first and break-last feature and SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) isolation between mains and USB outlets, ensuring both user and device protection. Its compact dimensions (146mm width, 85.6mm height, 29.8mm depth) allow easy installation in minimum 25 mm deep boxes.

The product meets numerous rigorous standards including BS EN 60669-1:1999, BS 4573:1970, IEC 60884-1:2006, BS 5733:2010, ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014, and others, ensuring quality, compatibility, and safety compliance.
