Product Description

Idec AL8Q-LK1-R red square push button lens is designed for use with the A8 Series push button switches, offering high-quality indication for industrial and commercial electrical applications. The precision red lens is square-shaped, measuring 10 mm in length, 12.5 mm in width, and 14.5 mm in height, facilitating clear panel indication.

Manufactured in Japan, this lens complies with rigorous UL and CSA standards, ensuring dependable performance in demanding electrical control systems. The lens consists of two parts: a diffuser and a colored transparent front cover, which allows optimal light diffusion and visibility of the illuminated indicator.

This lens is ideal for use with 8 mm sub-miniature illuminated push-button switches that require LED illumination. It is important to note that suitable LEDs must be ordered separately, and the LED current should be limited to 20 mA using an external resistor as per recommendations in the Optoelectronics/Indicators section. Voltage forward (VF) values are 1.7V (red), 2.1V (green), and 2.2V (yellow).

The lens is compatible with both square and round bezel indicators; however, bezel indicators themselves do not include the lens, switch, or LED, so appropriate lenses and LEDs need to be ordered separately. When not illuminated, the green LED may appear yellow due to diffuser effects.
