Product Description

Hammond 1550WLBK is a high-quality, general purpose enclosure made of black, natural aluminium die cast alloy featuring robust IP66 ingress protection and IK08 impact rating. The enclosure measures 72.4 mm in height, 165.4 mm in length, and 127.5 mm in width, making it suitable for protecting sensitive electrical and electronic instruments in demanding environments.

The robust die cast aluminium alloy construction provides excellent strength while remaining easy to machine for custom configurations. The enclosure body is available in a natural vibrant finish, or with a light textured black powder polyester paint which offers long-lasting wear resistance. Included are black screws that enhance the assembled appearance and facilitate secure enclosure assembly.

The lap joint construction of the Hammond 1550 series protects internal components from dust ingress and splashing water, meeting IP66 standards. The inclusion of economical Eva foam and silicone gaskets ensures effective sealing to maintain the watertight rating. This product also features unshielded EMI/RFI protection unless the standard watertight gaskets are installed, improving signal integrity.
