RS PRO 519-425 Steel Grey Clad Starter Bay Storage Racking is a high-quality steel storage bay designed for industrial and commercial material handling and storage applications. The base unit measures 2.1 meters in height, 500 millimeters in width, and 500 millimeters in depth, providing robust storage capacity in a compact modular form.

This clad bay forms the first bay of a shelving system and requires ordering of a rear cladding kit separately to ensure structural stability. The design features a modular shelving system with built-in box beam shelving that delivers inherent strength and rigidity while allowing quick and simple assembly without the need for nuts and bolts.

The uprights of the shelving are perforated at 50 millimeter intervals, facilitating adjustable shelf positioning. Shelves use special locking clips that wedge progressively stronger under load, enabling a maximum uniform safe working load of 160 kilograms per shelf and 1200 kilograms per bay. To maintain stability, all shelving runs must include bracing with rear cross-braces or cladding kits, fitted to at least one bay in six.

The grey steel construction is finished with graphite grey uprights and light grey (RAL7035) shelves and cladding, manufactured to high standards in the United Kingdom.
