Product Description
TE Connectivity SCL-1/2-0 Heat Shrink Tubing is a high-quality semi-rigid tubing designed to encapsulate and insulate electrical wire splices, breakouts, and electronic components effectively. Its black polyolefin construction is radiation cross linked, which gives it a tough, rigid, and homogeneous insulating layer once installed.
The tubing features a 12.7 mm sleeve diameter and 300 mm length with a 3:1 shrink ratio, enabling it to shrink down to a diameter of approximately 5 mm. This property allows it to conform tightly to irregular shapes with fewer tubing sizes required for the job.
The inner wall of the tube melts at around 100°C, flowing into crevices and interstices to provide a moisture-proof seal, while the outer wall shrinks above 135°C forming a durable covering. Upon cooling, the mass turns rigid, offering mechanical protection and electrical insulation.
This heat shrink tubing is ideal for industrial, electrical, automotive, manufacturing, and HVAC applications where moisture resistance and dielectric strength are critical. It demonstrates excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents and does not corrode electrical joints.
