Hammond 1598DBK is a black flame retardant ABS instrument case designed with dimensions 63.2 mm (H) x 179.8 mm (L) x 205.1 mm (W). Its robust ABS plastic housing provides excellent impact and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments and sensitive device protection.

The case includes moulded 1.5 mm guides in front and rear sections, allowing secure mounting of two printed circuit boards up to 166.3 mm length and 191.48 mm width. Ergonomically rounded edges help prevent injury and damage during handling. The corrosion-resistant aluminium end panels enhance durability, especially in moist areas.

With an IP54 ingress protection rating, this instrument case offers partial dustproofing and protection against water sprays from all directions, broadening its suitability for industrial and commercial use cases such as industrial computer systems, LED networking hardware, and process control apparatus monitoring.
