Product Description

ABB 1SFA897109R7000 PSE Soft Starter is designed for industrial motor starting applications requiring smooth and controlled start-up with torque control technology. It operates on a 600V AC power supply and delivers 55 kW power with 3 phase support. The soft starter features a screw mount type and dual IP ratings of IP00 and IP20 to suit different installation environments.

This compact starter is ideal for pumping systems, effectively minimizing water hammer effects. Its advanced torque control and current limit adjustment between 1.5 to 7 times the rated current provide precision control. The user interface includes an illuminated language-neutral display and a four-button keypad for easy configuration and monitoring.

Built-in bypass functionality enhances energy efficiency and cuts installation time. The soft starter also includes motor overload protections with selectable classes (10A, 10, 20, 30), motor underload detection to protect pumps running dry, and locked rotor detection that safeguards against jammed pumps.

Additional features include a kick start function to assist starting jammed equipment and an algorithm that eliminates DC components for optimal starting performance. Coated circuit boards ensure reliable operation in harsh environments. The unit supports a wide control supply voltage range from 100 to 250 V, 50/60 Hz.
