RS PRO thermowell is a precision accessory designed for use with temperature probes and thermocouples. Constructed from fabricated 316 stainless steel with a welded design, it offers excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, and physical impact. This thermowell, also known as a thermopocket, is suitable for low-pressure gas and liquid environments where the process conditions can be harsh and cause damage to sensors.
The thermowell features a tapered, hollow tube closed at one end. It is designed to accept a specific size of temperature probe, which can be easily inserted and removed without interrupting or draining the process. The closed end is secured into the process with a 1/2" BSP threaded hex fitting, while the probe itself is fixed inside the tube using a 1/8" BSP stainless steel compression fitting.
