StarTech.com 8P6G-PCIE-SATA-CARD is an advanced 8-port SATA 6Gbps PCIe x4 serial board with compact dimensions of 5.9 x 2.7 x 0.6 inches. This high-performance controller card is designed to significantly increase data storage capacity by allowing connection of eight SATA hard drives or SSDs to a PC or server via a PCIe x4 slot.
Engineered to meet Serial ATA 3.0 specifications and PCI Express Gen 2 standards, it provides data transfer speeds up to 6Gbps per port and total throughput up to 20Gbps. The built-in PCIe multiplexer manages downstream controllers enabling excellent motherboard compatibility including those with or without bifurcation support.
