Product Description
Alpha Wire 45103 BK005 Xtra-Guard 4 Performance Control Cable features 3 cores with 0.35mm² 22 AWG tin copper conductors and a screened thermoplastic elastomer jacket. Rated for 300 V operation, it offers exceptional flexibility and durability in extreme temperature ranges from -50°C to +125°C.
The thermoplastic elastomer jacket and insulation make the cable three times more flexible than typical PVC cables at both low and high temperatures. The screen uses a Supra-Shield construction combining triple layers of aluminum/polyester/aluminum foil and braided tinned copper, providing excellent EMI protection and signal integrity.
Its 6.5 mm outside diameter and 30 m length make it suitable for diverse industrial applications including paper manufacturing, mining operations, food and beverage industries, petrochemical facilities, pipeline systems, and military electronics. The cable carries approvals from UL, CSA, and CE, and is Pennsylvania Bureau Deep Mining Safety approved for mine-wide monitoring.
Resistance to oil, water, chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light enhances its performance in harsh environments. The cable is UL Rated TC 600 V and PLTC 300 V for cable tray installations, except for 24 AWG variants.
Users should note this cable is not recommended for continuous flex or high flex applications due to its construction. Heatshrink tubing such as FIT-400 and FIT-600 is recommended for additional insulation.
