Product Description

The SKF 7218 BECBP is a high-performance single row angular contact ball bearing, specifically designed to accommodate both radial and axial loads. With an inside diameter of 90 mm and an outside diameter of 160 mm, this bearing is well-suited for demanding mechanical and industrial environments where precision and durability are critical.

This bearing features a 30 mm wide race and incorporates a non-metallic cage, which reduces friction and helps extend the operational life of the bearing. The steel ball elements are engineered for high reliability, supporting sustained use under heavy loads and at high speeds. The open-end configuration allows for easy maintenance, inspection, and lubrication, ensuring that the bearing retains optimal performance over time.

The 40 degree contact angle of the SKF 7218 BECBP is specifically designed to enhance its ability to handle combined axial and radial loads. This makes the bearing particularly suitable for applications where axial load carrying capacity is important, such as in industrial gearboxes, machinery spindles, and production line equipment.

The parallel (cylindrical) bore type and the internal clearance CN provide smooth operation and easy fitment into a wide range of shafts and housings. The static and dynamic load ratings of 104 kN and 116 kN, respectively, coupled with its limiting speed of 5000 rpm, underscore its robust performance characteristics.

Manufactured under the SKF Explorer series, this ball bearing complies with high internal standards for quality and performance. The robust steel construction and specifically engineered cage material ensure that the bearing can withstand continuous operation in challenging environments found within manufacturing, mechanical, and automation industries.

Typical industrial use cases include applications in pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment requiring high load capacity and reliable service life. The open-end design further allows end-users to implement effective lubricating routines tailored to their specific application, ensuring low maintenance and high uptime.
