FAG Taper Roller Bearing 31308-XL, 40 mm ID, 90 mm OD, Steel Cage, Open End

The FAG 31308-XL Taper Roller Bearing is a high-performance bearing engineered for supporting combined radial and axial loads. With an internal diameter of 40 mm and an external diameter of 90 mm, this bearing is well-suited for precise shaft guidance and compact arrangement designs required in industrial machinery. Its robust steel cage material ensures durability and reliability under heavy-duty operation.

This bearing features a tapered bore type, which enhances load distribution and axial rigidity. The cone width of 25.25 mm contributes to its compact and economical fit, making it ideal for environments requiring strong axial support and accurate shaft positioning. The open end design enables varied installation and maintenance setups, adding versatility to the bearing’s application range.

Rated with a static load capacity of 83 kN and a dynamic load capacity of 89 kN, the 31308-XL model is suited to applications where high running accuracy and minimal clearance or preload are critical. It is particularly recommended where the load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings is inadequate or the higher speed suitability of those bearings is not required. The robust steel cage resists wear and provides excellent stability, while the design minimizes energy consumption and extends product lifetime, supporting sustainability goals.

Applications include automotive, industrial machinery, conveyor systems, rotary housing units, and construction equipment, especially in installations that operate clearance-free or under preload. The bearing arrangement provides superior axial guidance and rigidity, making it ideal for industrial and mechanical power transmission systems in manufacturing, water treatment, and other sectors.

Industrial buyers and engineers will appreciate the FAG 31308-XL’s precision, energy-saving design, and extended product life. Its compliance with the Better World claim further highlights its suitability for sustainable production environments.
