RS PRO Abrasive Pen, Fibreglass, 4 mm Diameter, Propelling Pencil Action, Model 183-5226

RS PRO 183-5226 is a high-quality abrasive pen featuring a 4 mm diameter fibreglass tip and propelling action for adjustable abrasiveness. The fibreglass pencil is engineered to provide accurate and precise cleaning, de-rusting, and surface preparation across a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, and plastic.

The propelling pencil design lets users control the length of the fibreglass bristles, easily exposing more or less abrasive fibre depending on the task. Shorter exposed fibres yield more aggressive abrasion, while longer fibres suit gentle cleaning tasks. The twist dial mechanism on the pen enables quick adjustments and increases user flexibility.

This abrasive pen is lightweight and robust, designed to access confined workspaces and deliver optimal performance for tasks such as de-burring, rust removal, and detailed cleaning in industrial, laboratory, vehicle maintenance, silversmithing, arts, and crafts environments. Routine maintenance, modelcraft work, and preparation of surfaces for coating or soldering are common applications.

A fibreglass pencil is an essential tool for professionals seeking versatile, nondestructive cleaning and abrasion. Replaceable fibreglass tips ensure continued utility, and users are advised to wear appropriate protective gloves and face wear during operation due to the possibility of debris irritation.

Package contains one RS PRO abrasive fibreglass pencil with 4 mm diameter tip. Replacement tips are available separately for enhanced longevity. Propelling pencil action allows precise adjustment of abrasiveness for diverse cleaning scenarios.

Ideal for de-rusting, cleaning, de-burring, and surface preparation tasks. Efficient on metal, wood, and plastic materials. Lightweight construction ensures comfortable handling and access to tight spaces. Bristle length adjustment is quick via the integrated dial.
