Off-Grid Solar the term is quite self-explanatory. It simply means that the solar power system is self-sufficient and is not dependent on the grid/main power supply. Solar power plant is based on the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic (PV) and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. In electricity, off-grid can be stand alone systems or mini-grids typically to provide a smaller community with electricity. Off-grid electrification is an approach to access electricity used in countries and areas with little access to electricity, due to scattered or distant population. In situations where grid parity has been reached, it becomes cheaper to generate one's own electricity rather than purchasing it from the grid.
