Ultrafiltration systems are membrane-based techniques used to separate high molecular weight particles from water. It can separate small particles of about 0.01 micron. In contrast to reverse osmosis membranes, ultrafiltration system membranes are resistant to free chlorine and their mineral composition does not change.
