The monitoring is guided by the Factories Act, 1948 and standards under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, along with guidelines from the Central Pollution Control Board and occupational safety norms. Scope of service: We assess occupational noise exposure to protect worker hearing. Using personal noise dosimeters worn by workers or area measurements, we determine the 8-hour Time-Weighted Average (TWA) noise exposure and the noise dose. We identify areas where exposure exceeds 85 dB(A) (action level) and recommend engineering controls or hearing protection programs.
