SSGW Lab Hydrometers are made from borosilicate glass which has been proven to be the most durable type of glass available today. This means that they will last longer than any other glass hydrometer. The Borosilicate glass used in these lab hydrometers is very strong and can withstand extreme temperatures without breaking or cracking. These lab hydrometers have an accuracy rating of +/- 0.1%. They come complete with a stainless steel stand and a protective cap.Borosilicate glass is an ideal material for making laboratory equipment because it has excellent chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, high strength, and good optical properties. The Borosilicate glass used in our lab hydrometers are manufactured using the same process as the Borosilicate glass we use in our laboratory instruments.
