Peak Instruments S-612 Dissolved Oxygen Meter are designed to measure the amount gaseous oxygen dissolved in water. It is an important indicator of water quality. Like conductivity and salinity, dissolved oxygen is an important tool for assessing water quality. Because of the variability of dissolved oxygen measurements with depth, distance, time and temperature, multiple measurements may be required to obtain enough data to make effective environmental management decisions. The optical dissolved oxygen meter uses luminescence technology to measure the dissolved oxygen concentration of water. Dissolved oxygen is a useful indicator of water treatment efficiency.
