Norgren QA/8160/00 Cylinder Seal Service Kit is engineered to maintain pneumatic cylinders in optimal condition by providing high-quality replacement seals made of stainless steel, nitrile butadiene rubber, and anodised aluminium. The kit is specifically designed for large diameter cylinders, 160mm, commonly used in industrial applications such as gas plants, marine environments, hydraulic equipment, and chemical processing plants.
The service kit includes multiple premium-quality polyurethane piston seals and oil-resistant NBR O-Rings to ensure longevity and reliable performance under demanding operating conditions. The seals withstand temperatures ranging from -20°C to 80°C, accommodating diverse operational requirements.
To install, disassemble the cylinder by removing tie rod nuts and detaching the front end cover and piston rod assembly. Remove damaged seals carefully to protect sealing surfaces, clean thoroughly, lightly grease the new seals and surfaces, then fit each seal appropriately before reassembling the cylinder.
