- Smoke damper frame is of 180GSM galvanized steel of 16Ga thickness formed into a structural hat channel in 4-piece construction with integral overlapping gusset reinforcements (screws are not acceptable) in each corner to ensure perfect square shape. Top and Bottom frame members will be of low profile design to maximize the free area on small dampers less then 425mm height and hence minimize pressure drop.

Smoke Damper are provided with an hourly fire rating. Smoke damper's primary function is to control the movement of smoke in dynamic air distribution systems Model FSD-A-U is a UL555 & UL555S classified multi blade Combination Fire & Smoke Damper with 3V style Blades. It is designed for closure/opening of the HVAC duct in Fire & Smoke situations. It is UL555 Classified to withstand fire conditions for 1.5 hours and is Class III Leakage Rated under UL555S at Elevated Temp of 350 F Model FSD-A-U can be installed vertically, with blades running horizontally with air flow in either direction.
