Hoyles EX206 Exitguard Series Alarm is a mains-powered security device operating at 240V with an integral high power piezo sounder producing 108 dB at 1 meter. Designed specifically for fire exit door security, this alarm is activated when the protected door is opened, providing a loud audible alert to warn of unauthorized access or security breach.

The EX206 model features a volt free relay contact output signal for alarm conditions, enabling integration with other security systems or monitoring equipment. Although powered primarily by mains supply, the system includes a standby power option with 6x AA alkaline batteries supplied. These batteries ensure the alarm relay remains functional during mains outages but do not power the sounder.

Additional functionalities include a visual indication via a green power LED, selectable alarm tones with six options, an auto reset and re-arm delay adjustable from 0 to 88 seconds, and an optional door open too long delay adjustable up to 88 minutes. The unit also has front and back acting tamper switches and a battery condition monitor for reliable operation.

The alarm incorporates a chime facility, an alarm relay output, and a quick reset/pass and return function for ease of use and management. Designed with fire safety compliance in mind, it includes an alarm strobe for visual signaling alongside the audible alert.

Supplied complete with fixings, door contact sensor, one meter of connection cable, and a clear door warning sign, the EX206 is suitable for industrial, commercial, fire safety, manufacturing environments, and other applications requiring controlled access monitoring.
