Product Description

SICK MZ2Q-FTZPS-KP0 pneumatic sensor is designed for precision position detection in pneumatic cylinders, grippers, and linear slides using T-slot mounting and adapters.

This sensor operates at 30V DC with two independently adjustable switching points via a teach-in pushbutton, indicated through LEDs for clear status feedback. Its robust plastic housing offers an IP67 ingress protection rating, allowing operation from -20°C to 75°C under demanding industrial conditions.

The MZ2Q series helps reduce installation overhead and costs by detecting two end or intermediate positions with a single sensor, halving mounting and cabling efforts compared to conventional solutions.

It is ideal for pneumatic automation applications such as component detection in robot grippers, gripper function monitoring, part differentiation during gripping, presence and end position checking in loading plates, and monitoring clamping cylinders. The sensor offers maximum flexibility with a detection zone extending up to 50 mm stroke and supports advanced diagnostics and visualization via IO-Link on compatible types.
