RawlPlug R-RBL-08HW is a carbon steel zinc-plated masonry anchor featuring a shield expanding hook bolt design with an M8 thread size and 98 mm length. This expanding anchor is widely recognized for its excellent durability and optimal load safety in mechanical fastening applications.

The anchor incorporates a 3-piece sleeve allowing excellent expansion inside drilled holes, ensuring secure fastening and safety for both temporary and permanent fixings. It is designed for use in multiple construction materials including cracked and non-cracked concrete (grades C20/25 to C50/60), unreinforced and reinforced concrete, solid clay bricks (≥ 20 MPa), hollow lightweight concrete blocks (LAC 5 ≥ 5 MPa), hollow sand lime bricks (≥ 15 MPa), concrete hollow floor blocks, and hollow core slabs.

Installation requires pre-drilling holes of 8 mm diameter to the appropriate depth, followed by thorough debris removal. The anchor must be inserted flush with the surface, and the hook position can be adjusted as needed before carefully tightening the bolt with a hex tool, not the hook itself, to avoid damage or shock loading. Special care must be taken when fixing into brickwork to avoid mortar joints.

This anchor is ideal for industrial, construction, and HVAC applications such as supporting ladder restraints, guy ropes, stays, cables, and other structural fixings where secure and reliable anchoring is critical.
