RS PRO 167-645 Non-Contact Voltage Detector Volt-Stick SOUND is a pen-style tester designed to safely check the presence of alternating current (AC) voltage from 230 V ac up to 1000 V ac without requiring current flow through the detector. This device is ideal for industrial, electrical maintenance, and construction applications to verify live wiring safely with easy handling.

The detector tip lights up red and emits an audible tone when voltage is detected, providing clear and immediate confirmation. It is ergonomically constructed for user comfort with a soft curved grip and includes a pocket clip for convenient carrying. This model is capable of locating cable breaks, identifying blown fuses within plugs or fuse holders, distinguishing between live and neutral wires in single and three-phase systems, and detecting faulty inline switches and lamps in series connections.
